Emergency Arbitrators’ Time Schedule - Time schedule for interim measures of protection

Interim relief

Contact

In order to ensure a fast response to requests for interim relief, the German Court of Arbitration for Sport on a daily basis designates an emergency arbitrator. In case the arbitral tribunal is not yet constituted, the parties may obtain interim relief and address their requests to the designated emergency arbitrator.

Each day, one emergency arbitrator is available for applications for interim relief in accordance with a published time schedule. If the designated arbitrator is not available, an alternate arbitrator will assume his or her responsibilities.

The emergency arbitrator and the alternate arbitrator perform their duties for 24 hours, i.e. from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on each given day. However, requests for interim relief shall be submitted before 8:00 a.m. or after 6:00 p.m. in exceptional circumstances only.
