As soon as the arbitral tribunal is constituted, it is no longer possible to file a request for interim relief with state courts. The president of the arbitral tribunal or the sole arbitrator shall decide on the application for interim relief (Article 20 of the DIS Sport Arbitration Rules).
The DIS Sport Arbitration Rules include a special mechanism which provides for interim relief even in case the arbitral tribunal is not yet constituted. For such cases, the DIS has established a time schedule of available emergency arbitrators.
